So Proud of my President!

By Katrina Taylor

Last night President Obama reminded everyone of how he became the first African American President in our history. His skilled oratory combined with knowledge, humor & gravitas, trounced would-be-but-ill-suited contender, Mitt Romney in last night’s final presidential debate.

For four years, Republicans have bullied Democrats into relinquishing public support for the President. In this sound-bite reality it may be hard to remember the cowering liberals facing loud and wrong tea party affiliates, (also known as today’s Republican party), on news programs, seldom supporting President Obama’s record … but I digress.

All that’s changed now as our Commander in Chief showed the nation exactly what that title means. He delivered a lesson on foreign policy with his mellifluous, commanding voice giving us a small glimpse of what it takes to run the United States of America. The President has a strong record to stand on and his accomplishments during these trying times are inarguable, such as rescuing the world from economic collapse, giving the American people a national healthcare plan when no other president  could,  signing the Lily Ledbetter Fair Pay Act into law, upholding marriage equality, offing Osama bin Laden, just to name a few.

He is a man for the people and the best man for the job of POTUS at this time.

On top of all that, he’s a baby-whisperer as I haven’t met a little one yet who doesn’t love him. Mitt’s grandson was sure clamoring to get away from him to be held by the President before an aide whisked him off the stage after the debate. You can see it in the 2 minute video put out by the Obama campaign below.

Last night was clearly an overwhelming victory for President Obama. His victory on November 6 will be a victory for our nation.

Vote! Early if you can …
